Well Hit music out and now Today's Hits and Yesterdays Favorites.... Basically being explained that they are taking the the hits you hear on FM 100 and the Favorites on KODJ and mixing it up to a new fresh station B98.7. So the promo on the station says.. www.b987.com/Maybe the best part will be the all 90's backtrax show on Saturday nights not to sure about the John Tesh show??

They've been calling themselves "all new" for at least a year and a half now, though I'm not sure why.
I have mixed feelings about the Tesh show. I like the tidbits of information he gives, but I find his presentation insufferable. To me it seems like he went to the Fred Rogers School of Broadcasting. Not for me. (He's not nearly as bad as Delilah thought.)

KBEE has been using "New" for years, I think. I heard Dain Craig, wearing his program director hat, trying to explain the new format in a spot. I don't know how often the spot is in rotation. Basically, he said "new" used to mean that they always played new music. Now, "new" means that they play hits and favorites, as dspete noted. I've moved KBEE to my first row of presets, bumping KSFI.

There's a term for what he says it used to mean. I'm no lawyer but I don't think there's any question about what they were trying to say and whether it was true. Hopefully that's over now.
