Hmm... I'm not sure this is the best move for My. They've really established themselves as the 'non-personality jukebox with back-selling' station and they're doing well in the Hot AC format. Not to mention one of the first, or maybe the first, in the US that does that. Adding personalities would really discredit that for them, I feel. Why mess with something that works?

Maybe because Now 97.9 is beating them by about 2 ratings points?
Tampering with the brand is risky, but everything points to listeners wanting talk in morning drive. Studies show that even when listener surveys SAY that they want less talk and more music, when you actually give them that they turn to other stations. And of course morning drive is the gateway to the entire day.
I'm not sure I would have made this move, but I think I see where iHeart is coming from.
