In the thread about Easy Listening (now locked), I noted that one of my favorite light rock stations to listen to at work was WESI in Louisville, KY. Well, it bit the dust yesterday, after having come in dead last in the ratings.
radioinsight.com/blog/headlines/90449/wesi-louisville-shifts-to-classic-hits/ It is now stunting by playing 10,000 classic hits in a row. Classic Hits is a format I also like, but not for work -- too active. So I guess for Soft Rock, I will have to go back to the station I used to listen to before I found WESI -- WDUV in Port St. Richie, FL. www.wduv.com/ The problem with that station is that all of the advertisements are targeted to retired Baby Boomers. What does that say about my choices in music?
