I never noticed anything on 95.3 in the Salt Lake Valley before. It's a strong signal.
Is it new?

Not new exactly. That translator was originally K213CP down near Provo. They were on 90.5, but got displaced to 95.3 as K237FG when KBJF came on the same frequency. Both K213CP & K237FG #1 were from Lake Mountain. Earlier this year they were approved to move to a site in the Oquirrahs, so apparently that's happened. My question at the time was whether there would be significant interference between K237FG #2 and KYFO-FM on first adjacent 95.5.

And it looks like somebody figured out the adjacent channel interference issue. A new application has been filed to make the signal almost exclusively pointed southeast from almost the same site in the Oquirrahs.
