A few surprises this month. The Arrow made nice gains. My 99.5 indicated that the increase last month was an anomaly, at least for now. KSOP-FM is gunning to unseat K-Bull as the top country station. Rock 106.5 is finally starting to make some headway and is posting decent numbers. I'm sure that's a relief for Clear Channel.
The poor performers? Nope, no change there.

I assume whenever Cumulus flips The Bull to Nash-FM, it will seal the deal for KSOP. (And good for them being scrappy and working hard!)

There's no way Cumulus should rebrand 93.3 as Nash. I'm almost certain they will, but they shouldn't. Unfortunately the national marketing people have priority over local marketing/programmers.

Matt Ramone from 93.3 was at a remote here in AF yesterday. I spoke to him about this topic and he seemed pretty sure that they wouldn't be changing. He said they're using KUBL as a model for a lot of the Cumulus country stations, including their playlist. Cool talking to Matt. I've been kinda a Facebook buddy with him for several years but never actually met him till just yesterday. He's a nice dude.
