Z-Rock has now become Alt 94.9: Everything Alternative. Tyson from KENZ is now afternoons... can't tell the line-up otherwise.
Looks like the recent shake-up is just moving formats around on the dial. Still confused by Cumulus keeping 3 rock properties.

The only thing about this I can think of that would justify essentially moving The End to 94.9 is that 94.9 broadcasts from Lake Mountain, which is where The End was originally (when it was on 107.5). That gets down better to central Utah than the Farnsworth stations do, but do they really care about that? I'm puzzled. This doesn't seem to be a good plan to me, but maybe they know something I don't.

The Cumulus shake up is a disaster. I often complain about format changes, but I usually warm up after a week or so.
I'm hearing classic rock on BOTH 101.1 and 101.9. There's a massive identity crisis. Meanwhile 94.9 sounds exactly like 101.9. Why kill a working brand for an unknown one?
RIP Z-Rock

Tyson now OUT at Alt 949 according to his facebook page. Yesterday was last day. His announcement is pretty non-specific about reasons or where he's going - but a blog post on his page by his wife just before his announcment is pretty interesting. IF you have the time to read it.
Curious to know what Cumulus will do replace. Bring Darbey back?
