Nexstar is rather famous for their regional hub idea, so I guess this isn't much of a shock. They've been doing that in the northeast for years. I don't like it myself. Too many more chances for problems. And that doesn't even consider the human impact. Given the recent events in the news, I'd probably stay away from the term "blown up" for a while though.....

Was watching the Christiane Amanpour two-part Christmas special last night on ABC-4. After the first half-hour, it went back to the beginning, and aired almost the whole 30 minutes again. Then, dumped to a commercial, mid-sentence, and caught up to the second hour. I guess the traffic people USED to program automation.

Then, dumped to a commercial, mid-sentence, and caught up to the second hour. I guess the traffic people USED to program automation. Sounds to me like they "RIFFed" the entire master control department and sent those jobs to a hub *immediately* rather than some of the jobs being cut in January. On a related note, this was one reason that despite everything, I was always proud to work for Bonneville. They seemed to understand that their markets have done well with local control. Of course, since the reorganization... I suppose that could change at any moment. ZSC does own that nice large "KSL Broadcast House."
