Did anyone happen to catch any newscasts this morning to see if there was a story about it? And where did that graphic come from?

Newscasts? Do you mean KLO newscasts? I can't imagine anyone else would give them any publicity. Walter Platz mentioned it over and over on KLO's local morning show.
That graphic is from their Website. It rotates with other graphics in the upper right corner of the KLO home page.
Some of my radios have RDS. On 103.1 they say what they've been saying for a month or more: "PANIC AT THE DISCO LYING IS THE MOST FUN A GIRL CAN HAVE WIT", over and over.

I did mean KLO's newscasts, yes. I suspect the only non-KLO news outlets that might give them some publicity would be those who have no radio interests and plan to never have any. Not too many of those. Thanks for the info on the graphic. I can't see anything there because it requires scripting AND Flash, neither of which I use. And don't get me starting on bad webpage designers......

Just FYI, the Simmons trust has applied to change the callsign of 103.1 to KLO-FM. As of today it's still KJQN.

The next to last piece fell into place on Aug 1 when the callsign changed officially to KLO-FM. The last piece is the approval of the sale and the actual transfer of ownership.

Note to KLO. You aren't giving a proper legal ID for 103.1. You need to say the "FM" part.
*sigh* Is it really that hard for stations to take 5 seconds an hour to do a proper legal ID? The necessity of doing it is definitely debatable but it's not like it's hard to actually follow the rules.
