Portland's has descended into only discussing political talk on the 'off air' side of things, and it seems to mostly be radio hobbyists and engineers.
The people visiting this forum also seem to be radio hobbyists and engineers (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Seattle's forum still seems to mostly chat about the 'golden' days of top 40 radio from approx. 1965 - 1985 with a little chatter about mysterious 104.5 KMCQ (Seattle's one true 'move in' abuse of FCC regs).
Remember when more stations were live, engaging and interesting? *sigh*

Whatever happened to Lynn Arave? (I think that says it all)

Lynn was downsized when the DN merged operations with KSL. 43% of the staff was let go back in 2010.
I think SF is right in the sense that there isn't a lot of interesting things going on in radio itself and that's reflected in not a lot of interesting things going on in the boards and forums. This has been going on (and discussed) for a number of years now on some boards. Radio has gotten fairly boring in most cases. Yes there are the occasional personnel moves, but that doesn't really amount to a whole lot most of the time in how a station sounds. When was the last time something really big happened? Lonsberry leaving KLO in January? 99.1 flipping from country to rock in September? Neither were huge deals, but more substantial than anything else.
