slc.clearchannel.com/rock991/Good for them Country is way over populated on the dial in Utah anyways. That is my whole complaint about Utah's HD Sidebands most of Clear channels was Classic Country. The whole idea behind the HD Sides was to put programming not heard anywhere else or to take on the Doggy Sat Company with unique programming

Seriously, wheres the smooth jazz or the classical/opera or showtunes or podcasts or Jelli or or or.... so many niche programming and that doesn't even cover ethnical/foreign programming? They could even do hybrids like country/hotac or metal/classic rock or or or or.... I still don't know if it will ever get much traction, but be creative with it. It doesn't have to have a budget. Folks in radio are already multi-tasking their butts off! What's another hour a day programming an HD channel?? Heck, I'd imagine there are some serious wanna-be's that would be willing to come in and program/host it for free! Not that I would endorse it, but even brokering time on HD might even bring some revenue.

Thank You Timmy!!
And once again Clear Channel does it again... Instead of putting Classic Rock on of one the HD Sides it puts it on 3 signals?? Why not put country classics on 105.7 hd2 classic rock on 99.5 hd2 drop the the Rockin'Country on 97.1 hd2 and try something different I know at one time they had Classic Rap on the 97.1 hd2 I would do a dance station something different gives us more options to listen.
Don't touch the KOSY 106.5 hd2 love that classic alternative

I'm surprised that any of the companies in Utah are doing HD2/3 signals at all. With all the signals bouncing in from everywhere else, isn't putting on an HD channel just adding more choices, more channels to switch to during the commercials? If it were me, I'd argue to just shut 'em off.
With that said, it's only Bonneville and Clear Channel doing them these days, right?

There are a bunch of stations doing country, but the only FM I can think of that was doing classic country was 99.5HD2/99.1. Am I missing someone? There's also KSOP(AM) of course.
Calling what's on 99.1 South now "classic rock" is a stretch, but no more so than what K-Bear has been doing. From what I've been hearing it's heavy on the 80's hair bands. I think the positioning as Rock 99.1 is interesting. Remember that the translator was simulcasting the Rock 99 format that used to be on 99.5's analog main until the flip to My 99.5 in 2004. I have to wonder whether this means that some deal has been made for Clear Channel to obtain KUDE when it boots that translator off as part of the move from the 103.9 frequency which should happen any decade now.

Crap. Too late for us to hear the transition again, huh? Well, still good to hear about, though.
I hope we soon get one where someone was listening early enough to hear the warning signs.
Thanks for posting.

I'm doubting there was any hype on this, they basically just switched streams from Clear Channels Iheartradio's classic country to Iheartradio's Classic Rock Channel heard nationally on stations thruout the country. So if you have Iheartradio on your mobile you can listen to the same stream that's on 99.1 and or 99.5 hd2 and or 105.7 hd2
